Use and Administration

Bacterial infection of the resp & urinary tract, ENT, bone, skin & soft tissue. O & G infections, gonorrhoea, dental procedures.

Adult & childn >12 yr 250 mg 6 hrly or 500 mg 8-12 hrly. Severe infections: 1-1.5 g 6-8 hrly. Infant & childn 20-50 mg/kg/day. Increase up to 100 mg/kg/day for chronic, severe infections. Max: 4 g daily.

May be taken with or without food: May be taken w/ meals to reduce GI discomfort.
